Terms of Service & End-User License Agreement
These terms govern your access to and use of FraudShield SMB and its AI-assisted business protection, financial operations, document, and connected-service features.
Effective date: August 31, 2026
1. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account, connecting a third-party service, purchasing credits or a subscription, or otherwise using FraudShield SMB (“FraudShield”), you agree to these Terms of Service and End-User License Agreement (“Terms”).
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use FraudShield.
2. What FraudShield provides
FraudShield is an AI-assisted business protection and operations workspace for small businesses.
Features may include fraud and risk review, business-email analysis, accounting and cash-flow assistance, document analysis, payment and invoice review, cross-source reconciliation signals, Business Pulse summaries, and integrations with third-party services such as Gmail, QuickBooks, and Stripe.
3. License to use the service
Subject to these Terms, FraudShield grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the service for your lawful internal business purposes.
You may not copy, reverse engineer, resell, sublicense, scrape, interfere with, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to FraudShield except where applicable law expressly permits it.
4. Not professional advice or a guarantee
FraudShield may make mistakes, miss relevant information, or flag activity that is legitimate.
Review signals, anomaly detections, and cross-source mismatches are prompts for further review and are not proof of fraud, missing funds, accounting error, legal noncompliance, or wrongdoing.
You are responsible for independently reviewing important financial, payment, tax, legal, compliance, employment, lending, and business decisions.
5. Accounts and security
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your FraudShield account and for activity performed through it.
You agree to provide accurate account information and to notify us if you believe your account or an integration has been compromised.
6. Connected third-party services
You may choose to connect services such as Gmail, QuickBooks, and Stripe.
By connecting a service, you authorize FraudShield to access and process the information made available by the permissions or scopes you approve, solely to provide FraudShield features.
Third-party services remain governed by their own terms, privacy policies, availability, APIs, and account rules.
FraudShield is not responsible for changes, interruptions, suspensions, or errors originating from a third-party service.
You may disconnect an integration at any time using FraudShield's available controls or the provider's own settings.
7. Gmail actions
If you connect Gmail, FraudShield may read email information required for the features you choose to use.
When you explicitly select FraudShield's email cleanup or Move to Trash functionality, you authorize FraudShield to modify the selected Gmail messages by moving them to Trash.
FraudShield will not initiate that cleanup action without a user request through the product.
8. Your content and permissions
You retain ownership of content you submit to FraudShield.
You grant FraudShield the limited rights necessary to host, process, transmit, analyze, and display that content for the purpose of providing, securing, maintaining, and improving the service.
You represent that you have the rights, authority, and permissions necessary to upload, submit, or connect the business information you ask FraudShield to process.
9. AI outputs
AI-generated outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated. Similar inputs may produce similar outputs for different users.
You are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on, acting on, or sharing them.
FraudShield does not guarantee that it will detect every fraudulent transaction, suspicious email, accounting issue, payment mismatch, or business risk.
10. Acceptable use
You may not use FraudShield to:
- violate applicable law or the rights of another person or business;
- facilitate fraud, theft, deception, money laundering, unauthorized surveillance, malware, credential theft, or account compromise;
- access data or systems you are not authorized to access;
- interfere with FraudShield, bypass usage or billing controls, probe security protections, or abuse third-party APIs;
- misrepresent AI-generated information as verified professional, legal, accounting, audit, or regulatory advice.
11. Plans, credits, subscriptions, and billing
FraudShield may offer free usage, credits, one-time credit purchases, and recurring subscriptions.
Current prices, included credits, usage limits, and plan features are shown in the product or at checkout.
Payments are processed by Stripe or another designated payment provider. Recurring subscriptions renew automatically until canceled.
Cancellation becomes effective according to the billing terms shown in the product or billing portal.
Except where required by law, fees and consumed credits are non-refundable.
12. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how FraudShield collects, uses, stores, and shares information, including information received through Gmail, QuickBooks, Stripe, and other connected services.
The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
13. Service availability and changes
FraudShield may add, modify, limit, suspend, or discontinue features as the product evolves.
We may impose reasonable rate limits, usage limits, integration limits, or security controls to protect users and the service.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or compatibility with every third-party platform.
14. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of material violations of these Terms, unlawful activity, security risk, abuse, fraud, nonpayment, or misuse of third-party integrations.
You may stop using FraudShield at any time and may disconnect integrations before doing so.
15. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FraudShield is provided “as is” and “as available.”
We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, and guaranteed detection or prevention of fraud or financial loss.
16. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FraudShield and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; lost profits; lost revenue; business interruption; lost data; or losses resulting from reliance on AI-generated information, review signals, connected-service data, or third-party platform behavior.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as FraudShield evolves.
Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of FraudShield after an update means the revised Terms apply to your continued use, to the extent permitted by law.
